Pre-requisites
There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Training requirements
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment requirements
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and a range of practical assessments including the completion of checklists and drug/alcohol testing reports. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment.

Students completing this course will attain the skills and knowledge required to confirm collection requirements, prepare client and equipment and collect specimens via urine and/or oral and breath testing following the special procedures that apply for drugs of abuse testing. These skills and knowledge apply to individuals working in collection centres, in hospitals, in other health care environments and workplaces where drug abuse testing takes place. Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399.
